The impetus for much of Christopher Firmstone’s current work comes from visits to Cuba, New York and more recently, Chile.
His paintings and drawings have been included in exhibitions at the RIBA, London; the
Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London; the Mid-Art Exhibition at Himley Hall, West Midlands and the RBSA, Birmingham, where he was awarded the Caran d’Ache prize in 1998. There was a oneman
exhibition of his work at Dudley Museum & Art Gallery in 2002 and his first oneman in London exhibition was held at the Millinery Works Gallery in 2005.
His work is held in many private collections.
He is a regular contributor to the annual exhibition of Contemporary British Art at the Millinery Works, where he is to have a further solo exhibition in 2007.
