1. An Arts & Crafts oak linen press comprising two doors above two small drawers, one long drawer and fall front shoe compartment on shaped legs and with hammered steel handles and hinges, designed by
C R Ashbee, made by The Guild of Handicraft, circa 1905. Illustrated ‘Der Moderne Stil The Modern Style’ by Julius Hoffmann Jnr, page 116, Fig.3. Note the influence Ashbee’s design had on Ambrose Heal. 204cms (80.5ins) high, 119cms (46.75ins) wide and 65cms (25.5ins) deep.

2. A pair of Arts & Crafts dark stained oak chairs each with an upholstered seat, a shaped back slat to the curved top and low stretchers to the floor, the design attributed to

This piece was exhibited at the V&A ‘International Arts and Crafts Exhibition’ in London in 2005 and in Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Fine Arts Museums, San Francisco de Young in 2006 and illustrated in the exhibition
