1. A rare oak compendium wardrobe comprising a six drawer chest of four long and two short drawers, below a leaded glazed cabinet surmounted by a shaped pediment, flanked by two hanging cupboards with inset panelled doors with shaped moulded carved frieze of leaf design, the side returns also
having inset panels with shaped moulded carved frieze and the right hand side return enclosing a full length mirror, the
handles being bronze patinated copper, the long handles stamped Rathbone 538L, the heart shaped drawer handles Rathbone 534A. Made for James and Beatrice Morton on their marriage in 1901. 198cm (78in) high, 230cm (90.5in) wide, 8.5cm (23in) deep.
James Morton designed carpets for his family’s firm Morton & Co. and in particular set up the Dunemer carpet workshops in Ireland.

2. An oak settle with shaped arms and stiles, the three back

moulding to the panelled door and having a bronze Rathbone handle and hanging brackets,circa 1905, labelled and stamped 8883. 81.5cm (32in) high, 53cm (21in) wide, 33cm (13in)

An oak wall cabinet with exposed dovetails comprising a bookshelf with hinged dust flaps above two angled doors carved with panels and stylised flowers and the frame also carved with stylised flowers, circa 1920, paper label Arthur & Hubert Simpson. 54.5cm (21.5in) high, 91cm (35.75in) wide, 24cm (9.5in) deep. |

7. An oak sideboard comprising three central drawers flanked by two cupboards, the panelled cupboard doors having finely carved stylised flower and leaf design to the
moulding, the frame similarly carved both to the front and sides and the gallery carved with a larger version, mahogany lining to the drawers and the inside of the left hand cupboard door having a carved dedication
G.J.& W.C. 1931, stamped 9295. The bronze handles and escutcheons are attributed to
Rathbone, the design is circa 1905. 99cm (39in) high, 152.5cm (60in) wide, 56cm (21.5in) deep. |

8. A set of six dining chairs with shaped back carved with a shamrock motif to the central back splat on tapering,
chamfered front legs with studded hide seats, circa 1910. 101.5cm (40in) high. |

9. An oak Lakeland School refectory table on a shaped and chamfered two column base with carved stylised roses to each side of the columns and a central stretcher, circa 1910. 79cm (31in) high, 66cm (26in) wide, 166cm (65.5in) long. |
