Steven Newell - Glassmaker
Born in 1948, Steven attended both Kansas City Art Institute and Carnegie-Mellon University, completing his BFA degree in Ceramics & Glass in 1972.The same year he accepted a place at the Royal College of Art, London and completed his MA in glass in 1974. In 1977 he was awarded his first major international prize for his glass designs. Steven produces both repeatable designs and one-off works of art. This exhibition was inspired by the glass of Dr Christopher Dresser. |
