inlaid with a stylised English rose above a clear glazed panel and tongue and
groove panelling to the back, the base consisting of three central drawers
between two quartered oak doors inlaid with stylised flowers in ebony and mother
of pearl, the stiles and edges profusely inlaid with ebony and boxwood chequer
banding, attributed to Baillie Scott, circa 1900. 184cm (72.5in) high, 181cm
(71.25in) wide, 57cm (22.5in) deep. This inlay motif appears in other
furniture designed by Baillie Scott. |
