In Situ is an exhibition of some typical, high quality pieces of Arts & Crafts furniture dating from 1875 to 1930 shown in settings with Modern British paintings from the same period. The furniture will include items from William Morriss to the masters of the Cotwold School - including Ernist Gimson, Peter Waals and Gordon Russell along with Heals & Liberty.
Among the artists displayed will be Edward Wolfe F1, John Melville, Phelan Gibb, Edward le Bas and Carl Cheek. DIsplayed on the furniture will be a "Christmas Box" of goodies including glass from Steven Newell and Simon Moore, ceramics from Romilly Graham, Jill Fanshawe Kato & Sarah Perry, and wood turnings by Richard Chapman all of which make excellent gifts.
