Frank Stanton

Frank Stanton first began to gain popularity and recognition for his paintings and drawings at the Slade School in London. This - combined with a study of Art history - went on to ignite his fascination with architecture; an interest which can be traced through his close attention to the spacial, and the element of design in his works. Acting to transpose the three dimensional subjects of his paintings onto the two dimensional plane of the canvas, his paintings shown below can be seen to focus on the organic architecture of plants and flowers.

Additionally to this, his paintings of Islington are in collections at the Geoffrey Museum in London, and have frequented galleries around North London. Exhibitions of a range of Stanton's works have also been shown at the Millinery works in 2006, and 2016. Please click here to see the last Flipping Book we created.
