Gordon Russell A brown oak, breakfront, compendium wardrobe, central section of cupboard, door with octagonal raised fielded and moulded panel on rectangular raised fielded and moulded panel within chamfered frame of exposed dovetail construction, inset bog oak escutcheon, over four drawers, cedar lined, each with craved bog oak 'nip' handle, either side a hanging wardrobe, each door with four inset panels within chamfered frame of exposed dowel construction, inset bog oak escutcheons, carved bog oak 'nip' handles, hand-cut hinges, cedar panelled backs to each section, inside right hand wardrobe original bevelled glass long mirror within faceted frame, on eight leg plinth, stepped and moulded edge to front and sides, shaped central section, exposed dowel construction, eight-sided supports then forming eight-sided, tapering feet, chamfering to the aprons, with "The Russell Workshops, Broadway, Worcs" paper label to back, inscribed " This piece of furniture ... was made throughout in The Russell Workshops, Broadway, Worcestershire, Designer: Gordon Russell Foreman: Edgar Turner Cabinet Maker: C Turner  Date 1/11/28)" , 181cm (71in) high, 181cm (71in) max wide, 56.5cm (22.5in) deep
