Quarter sawn Oak Cotswold style Library Table


A quarter sawn oak Cotswold style free-standing partners' library table with fielded panels to the sides and drawer fronts, rebate edge to the top, on moulded chamfered legs, sledge base, centre stretcher, turned handles and tooled leather top, by Heal's, circa 1925, 79cm (31in) high, 152cm (60in) long, 91cm (36in) wide. Ambrose Heal made this design in 1909 as a one-off piece in walnut with ebony, boxwood and mother of pearl inlay and drop handles, for his own home.
