A green decorated chair with gilded leaf design to back and stretcher and with rush seat, attributed to William Burges and his studio and probably made by J S Chapple, circa 1875. Much of the furniture in Castell Coch has similar decoration. Examples of this chair have appeared stamped Walden who also worked for Burges.
