RON DELLAR Homage to a Dead Heroe' (sic), oil on canvas, title, date and signature on verso, December 1976, 76 x 102cms (The Hero was an artist he adfmired - Egon Schiele.)

Born in Camberwell in 1930, Ron moved to Penge at the outset of the Second World War and subsequently spent much of his life in small villages in Kent and Sussex.
Never having been to art college, he taught myself techniques in oil and watercolour, which were is two favourite mediums. I have been an art teacher in adult education and a successful portrait painter in Germany.
His work has been shown with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Watercolour Society. He has many paintings in private collections, both in this country and abroad, and in the past was commissioned to provide large murals for London Transport, EMI and Taylor-Norton Associates, amongst others.
